Happy Memorial Day

Emma went to her first parade today. She had a good time – there are pictures to prove it!

We also went and got her 9 month pictures done today. She did pretty well, but she was tired and hungry. They are all in the gallery. The photographer was bored and did a lot of “enhancements.”

New pictures

Emma got to meet her Great Grandma Keeny today. Everyone had a good visit and there are a lot of pictures in the gallery. There are also pictures from Shedd Aquarium from last weekend (had to be without flash, so they’re a bit blurry) and pictures of Emma eating yogurt for the first time – she LOVES it!!

I recently got some pictures from the Derby Party – here’s Emma wearing Aunt Angie’s hat. She was party-ready! She also tried out the stable boy hat!

She likes peas!

It’s been a while since we’ve put new pictures up. Emma has had a busy few weeks. She attended her first Mary Kay party (but is too young to play with the make up, so she got bored fast). She also went to her first Kentucky Derby party, but she’s still a little upset that she was left out of the betting and didn’t get a mint julep. I have no pictures from either, but maybe Grandma will share the ones she took and we can post them.

We tried peas for the second time today for lunch. The first attempt went much like the green bean trial. She loved them today and I couldn’t shovel them in fast enough. She got a little impatient and grabbed the spoon at one time, so I let her try….they ended up smeared around her ear. So, she got frustrated and dropped the spoon and used her fingers. Peas sure do dry fast and get sticky! There are pictures in the gallery.

Very tired little girl

Emma went to day care for a few hours this morning and was in a great mood when I picked her up. She was busy scooting around playing with her toys so I went in the other room to fold some laundry. When I came back she was sound asleep in the middle of the floor. Yes, that is a sock up by her head. Apparently socks are comforting for her. Since she’s grown out of the swaddler and can’t have anything in the crib with her at day care, the girls there have been taking her socks off and letting her play with them until she puts herself to sleep. I guess it works at home, too!

Just like her Dad!

Emma likes playing with computers even more than she likes the remote control. Although, as you can see in the pictures, when she couldn’t get the computer to do what she wanted, she started hitting it with the remote!

She seems pretty happy in these pictures:

She must have found a good deal on something online!

Favorite toy

Emma has a new favorite toy….an old remote control. She would probably rather play with a remote that works, but her remote skills aren’t quite there yet. She either likes the volume muted or really loud, there’s no in between!

BLECH!

This is what Emma thinks of green beans:

She liked playing with a frozen waffle and Taylor liked getting to eat it!

There a few more pictures from the weekend in the gallery. Emma had a great time at her cousin Cole’s 2nd birthday party, she partied hard and slept the whole way home!

New pictures (some without Emma, but those are at the end!)

There are new pictures in the gallery. Emma seems to like standing up (she’ll just balance for a few seconds before crashing down, but boy was she happy to reach the bottle of nasal spray!) She didn’t pull herself up, we stood her up and leaned her against the ottoman. There are also pictures from our trip to Florida – a lot of alligator pictures and photographic evidence that I am no longer afraid of people in astronaut costumes!

Spring Break 2008

Emma and Taylor are back from their spring break trip to Stevensville! It sounds like everyone had fun and grandma used the opportunity to break in her new camera (good thing she has a long lasting, rechargeable battery and a huge memory card!). In the gallery you’ll find a few pictures from this past week.
