Emma was baptized today at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. There are pictures in the gallery. The weather was freezing and the roads icy, but both sets of grandparents made it into town! GMO (Grandma Marilyn) made the gown that Emma wore.

Rice Cereal!
We started Emma on some cereal this past weekend. She is getting the hang of eating from a spoon, but I’m still not sure she actually likes the taste of the cereal (who can blame her….it smells bad!). There are lots of (off-center) pictures in the gallery.

4 month pictures
We may have found a good photographer at the walmart picture studio. We have not had much luck at walmart but they have great prices. This past wed we went and got the michigan area manager of all studios. Found out they will be upgrading equipment at the one near us and we can get high resolution images on cd soon. Hopefully the quality of the prints will be better. The most important thing is we can schedule to have her take pictures again with us and she loves emma and can get emma to smile every time.

Loves her new toy
Emma spends more and more time in her new toy. She is also spending more time on her tummy. She loves to sing and make loud noises also. Seems to love to hear herself.{wp-gallery-remote: gallery=0; rootalbum=38950; clickimage=lightbox; imagefilter=include:39347,39352,39237;}
What a big girl
I was going through the pictures from over Christmas at lunch today and this one is great. She loves to help you feed her and even tries to do it herself sometimes.

Merry Christmas
Emma had a great first Christmas. Here are a few pictures from the holiday. We hope to have more of Emma and her new toys soon.
New pictures and Emma’s first cold
There are finally some new pictures up, 4 albums in total. Some from the beginning of the month of Emma having tummy time wearing the sweater I made for her. There are pictures from this past Friday and Sunday when we were trying to get a good one of her in one of her Christmas dresses for our card since Penney’s screwed up our order. As you can see, we haven’t been successful in getting a good picture, but now that she is feeling better we’ll hopefully have better luck!
Emma has her first cold and it’s been a doozy. She was sick with a stomach bug last week for a couple of days, got better, but then woke up on Saturday with a stuffy nose and cough. On Sunday she started refusing to eat again and by that night she had a fever of 104 degrees. It came down with some tylenol, but she wasn’t sleeping much so I sat up with her pretty much all night. She was still refusing to eat on Monday and the fever came back, only to 103.7 degrees that time, though. We took her to see the pediatrician Monday night and she was admitted from the office to the hospital for IV fluids. After receiving fluids through the night Monday night she started acting more normal and eating again yesterday and we got to come home. There are pictures of her in the hospital, they were taken once she was feeling better. (The pictures were taken with my phone, so they are kind of dark.) Everyone there agreed that she was the cutest baby ever (even when she looked so sick they commented on her cuteness!) She’s back to acting like herself now, hopefully her next cold won’t be as bad as this one!
Something she is great at

Thank goodness she is a good sleeper
First day at daycare
Today we took Emma to daycare for the first time. She did pretty well, even took 2 (short) naps for them in the 4 1/2 hours she was there. She’s the youngest baby there by about 2 months. I think they spoiled her though because she won’t take her slightly cool room temperature bottles at home anymore; we’re going to have to start warming them up for her. We tried to get her 3 month/Christmas pictures done today at Penney’s, but she wanted to nap instead so we’re going back on Wednesday to try again.
There are lots of new pictures up in the gallery from Thanksgiving. She doesn’t look too happy about wearing the turkey outfit and she’ll probably be even less happy about it when she sees the pictures when she is older!
